We’re kicking this issue off with one of my biggest professional mistakes, why FAQs should still exist, and a final reminder for tomorrow’s GA4 webinar.
🛑 Biz Tip: Stop Pretending
One of the biggest mistakes I’ve made in my professional career is “Pretending I’ve Been There”
Years ago, if I were in rooms with people WAY more successful than me, instead of asking for help or asking important detailed questions, I’d just act like I was in a similar situation or was getting similar results.
After a particularly rough quarter I shared with a peer that I was having issues growing part of the business and he said something that stopped me in my tracks:
“I would have never known you were having that issue”
He went on to explain how to solve my problem.
If you’re lucky enough to be in the room with people who have been there…be sure to ask them how they did it. Don’t try to fit in by pretending you’re like them. You aren’t.
🤣 Marketing Tip: FAQs are still a useful conversion element!
I saw someone share their general disdain for FAQs on LinkedIn the other day – mostly about how the questions aren’t helpful and we should just stop using FAQs.
While I agree that most FAQs are less the questions our visitors are asking but are the questions we HOPE they asked. I don’t agree that we should do away with FAQs all together.
FAQs are a great way to catch visitors who are actively searching or scanning for a specific answer. Sure, this should be handled in the copy on your site but you shouldn’t force your visitor to read through your “narrative journey” to know your return policy.
Keep your FAQs helpful and make sure you’re posting questions your visitors actually ask!
📅 May Webinar: GA4 is HERE
When it comes to marketing, we tend to have a lot of choices. We don’t have to jump on every trend or platform. However, when it comes to the changes coming to Google Analytics – GA4 is NOT a choice.
On Thursday, we’re going to share everything we’ve learned about GA4 and how to make sure your company is ready.
If you aren’t the person responsible for maintaining GA – please share this with the person who is!
Uh-oh this webinar already happened.
The reply is only available to InvisiblePPC partners and our Agency Insiders.
