Last week I sent out the top 7 questions and the most common feedback I got was where are the answers, so here are the Questions and Answers
I recommend that you save this for future reference.
Q1: How much will the conversion cost?
A1: The answer to this is usual, “depends” but that is simply not acceptable to clients. Here are two ways to deal with this:
Q2: It has been 5/10 days since the PPC ad started; why have I not received a single lead yet?
A2: If it is a new campaign, Google throttles the impressions, which can be even more restrictive for new ad accounts. This can last up to two weeks. In addition, we limit the budget in the first week to make sure all conversion, tracking, landing pages, and lead workflows are working correctly before spending too much money.
Q3: Why leads that I received so far have not been relevant or have been spam?
A4: At the campaign start the keywords, ad placement and bidding strategies are not completely tuned yet. Hence it is not uncommon to receive a few spam leads at the start. This drops as we start tuning settings.
Q4: After running ads for over a month, why is the CPA still above the target?
A4: Optimizing to reach the target CPA can take up to 90 days; this period will be longer for lower budgets. Basically, we need enough clicks and conversions to optimize and for Google to learn what kind of leads we are targeting.
Q5: Why are my ads not showing?
Q6: How will we be able to compete with competitors?
A6: There are multiple techniques for achieving this; a savvy ad manager like InvisblePPC will utilize all of these.
A> Look at all competition ads copy and improve on it
B> Use a custom landing page with relevant copy for conversion (this can improve results from 5-10X)
C> Monitor account daily (but make decisions on weekly stats)
E> Leverage historical learning based on large negative keyword lists (we have thousands of negative keywords in our niche-based lists)
Q7: Why are you not sending Ad clicks to my customer’s website?
A7: Websites are never good landing pages for a click you paid for through a search ad. The user who clicked is looking for specific information/service and a website with full navigation and so much content that distracts the user. Custom landing Pages get 2-10X higher conversion.
