A day doesn’t go by when I check out my LinkedIn feed where I see this bit of advice:
“Build a great product” or “Build THE BEST user experience”
Marketers and business owners are saying this like it’s a new idea. It isn’t. Nobody wants to create a bad product or service. The creation of something that truly solves a problem in an intuitive way is table stakes.
Sure, great products sell…but they cannot sell themselves. You need to be ruthless when prioritizing your efforts. Yes, invest in your product but not at the expense of building demand.
