Building an industry category is one of the most difficult and costly ways to build a business. You have to sell on the concept AND on your product!

You don’t need to be the inventor of the category, in fact in most cases you shouldn’t. Ford, Jobs, and Bezos didn’t invent their categories – cars, computers, and shopping all existed before them. HOWEVER, they did understand the trends in the market and rode it from there.
